Lenovo and Amy Poehler’s Smart Girls Teach Kids to Code

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC (March 6, 2017) – Lenovo (HKSE: 992) (ADR: LNVGY) announced today it is working with Amy Poehler’s Smart Girls on a three-part video series spotlighting women in technology in support of LenovoGameState.com – a free, online destination for kids ages 13 and up. The site lets kids become part of a Code & Play Adventure, powered by Code Combat, where they can learn to code by playing a game. The more they play and learn, the more chances they have to win Lenovo products and a $2,500 scholarship to a coding school or camp.

Lenovo announced today, that more than 500 Lenovo employees participated in the largest company-sponsored STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) volunteer event in conjunction with NAF, a partner in the Lenovo Scholar Network.

Lenovo and NAF Announce 2016 Mobile App Development “Fan Favorites”

Students from Edward C. Merlo Institute of Environmental Technology in Stockton, CA and North Division High School Academy of IT in Milwaukee, WI – and their apps – were the stars at the 2016 NAF Next Conference Wednesday in Orlando. The teams participated in the Lenovo Scholar Network mobile app development program this year, and following an online vote their apps were announced as this year’s “Fan Favorites.”

Lenovo Launches Its Accelerator Incubator for Early Stage Start-ups

Lenovo today announced the launch of Lenovo Accelerator, an incubator offering funding, infrastructure and business support for entrepreneurial startups specializing in cutting-edge technologies, including robotics, artificial intelligence (AI) and big data. Lenovo Accelerator is run by the Lenovo Capital and Incubator Group (LCIG), one of four major business groups of Lenovo.
