Fujitsu, Lenovo and DBJ form PC Joint Venture

TOKYO, November 2, 2017 – Fujitsu Limited (“Fujitsu”) (TSE: 6702), Lenovo Group Limited (“Lenovo”) (HKSE: 992) (ADR: LNVGY) and Development Bank of Japan Inc. (“DBJ”) today announced a strategic collaboration that creates a joint venture between the three companies. The joint venture will focus on the research, development, design, manufacturing and sales of Client Computing Devices (CCD) for the global PC market.

Lenovo Delivers Solid Revenue Growth in Second Quarter FY 2017/18

TOKYO, November 2, 2017 – Lenovo Group (HKSE: 992) (ADR: LNVGY) today announced results for its second fiscal quarter ended September 30, 2017. Revenue was US$11.8 billion, a 5 percent increase year-over-year, and an 18 percent increase over the first fiscal quarter. Quarter-to-quarter revenue gains were achieved in all three of its main businesses, namely data center, mobile, and PCs and smart devices, demonstrating that strong execution of Lenovo’s three-wave strategy is producing consistently improving results across its portfolio. In the second fiscal quarter, Lenovo’s pre-tax income grew by US$104 million, rebounding significantly from the previous quarter’s loss.

LENOVO ANNOUNCES FOURTH QUARTER AND FULL YEAR 2016/17 RESULTS

  • Good progress with new three-wave strategy in a year of transformation
  • New end-to-end ownership model to help manage each business differently
  • Fourth-Quarter revenue was US$9.6 billion; Full-Year revenue was US$43 billion
  • Fourth-Quarter net income was US$107 million; Full-Year net income was US$535 million
  • Full-year basic earnings per share of 4.86 US cents, or 37.71 HK cents

Lenovo Strengthens Data Center Business to Accelerate Growth, Announces New Leadership Roles on its Management Team
