Lenovo, Nimble Storage Partner to Transform the Data Center

Lenovo (HKSE: 992) and Nimble Storage, (NYSE: NMBL) today announced a strategic partnership intended to transform data center capabilities by delivering new levels of efficiency and scale, and slashing the time IT teams spend managing infrastructure. Lenovo and Nimble will enable the use of predictive analytics in infrastructure management to automate service activities, allowing data centers to redeploy their resources from maintenance and support tasks to strategic projects that deliver value for their organizations.

HONG KONG, August 18, 2016 – Lenovo Group (HKSE: 992) (ADR: LNVGY) today announced results for its first fiscal quarter ended June 30, 2016. Quarterly revenue was US$10.1 billion, a six percent decrease year-over-year (or four percent decrease in constant currency). Quarter-to-quarter, this represented a 10 percent increase. First quarter pre-tax income increased 297 percent year-over-year to US$206 million. Net income increased 64 percent year-over-year to US$173 million.
