Lenovo will also support NVIDIA OpenShell open-source runtime to add security and privacy for autonomous agent development, and accelerated by select workstations, including the ThinkStation P5 Gen 2. We are also working on NVIDIA NemoClaw — an open source stack that simplifies running OpenClaw always-on assistants, more safely, with a single command. As part of the NVIDIA Agent Toolkit, it installs the NVIDIA OpenShell runtime—a secure environment for running autonomous agents, and open-source models like NVIDIA Nemotron.

Beyond performance, the latest workstations are protected by Lenovo ThinkShield, a comprehensive suite of hardware-based and firmware-level security features, including BIOS-level protections, secured wipe, and integrated privacy controls to help safeguard sensitive data and ensure enterprise-grade security. The ThinkPad mobile workstations incorporate recycled materials in their chassis 8, are EPEAT® Gold6, ENERGY STAR® 9.0, TCO Certified 10.0 and MIL-STD-810H certified1, and showcase new improved serviceability and future-ready designs, including more customer replaceable units, expandable memory and storage.
A New Era of Efficiency and Productivity
Lenovo also announced a new proof of concept, the world’s first 1,000Wh/L Silicon-Anode Battery for notebooks and workstations10, achieving an energy density improvement of more than 10% when compared to previous generations. With a capacity of up to 99.9Whr without a bigger footprint, the ED1000 battery technology will deliver improved battery life and higher performance for future Lenovo laptops. Developed in conjunction with Shanghai Jiao Tong University, this battery sets a new industry standard and opens new possibilities for battery life and form factors in high-performance laptops.
