Lenovo Hosts Civil Air Patrol Cadets Exploring STEM Careers

Lenovo recently partnered with Civil Air Patrol (CAP), the U.S. Air Force Auxiliary, to introduce cadets to the expansive career paths possible through STEM education.

More than 25 students from CAP—one of the largest STEM organizations in the U.S.—visited Lenovo’s Morrisville campus. Since World War II, CAP has worked to provide nationwide emergency services through citizen volunteers and youth development through its cadet program.

Lenovo Celebrates LGBTQ Employees in Durham Pride Parade

Members of Lenovo's newest Employee Resource Group (ERG), US Pride, took part in Pride: Durham at Duke University, about 25 minutes from Lenovo’s US headquarters in Morrisville, NC, marching in the annual parade to celebrate diversity. US Pride is Lenovo’s fifth ERG – it’s open to any Lenovo employee in North America and supports those who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender, as well as their allies.

Sao Paulo, Brazil employees worked with Caminhando, an organization that helps adults with disabilities. In addition to interacting with adults through fun activities, Lenovo gave five Lenovo laptops and a virtual reality set to bridge the technology gap to underserved populations and helping to enrich the lives of the adults who rely upon the center.

Employees continued their work with the Centre de Charles Peguy by rehabilitating their library and ensuring that the organization’s client have a bright and inviting place to learn.
