The Philippine Telegraph and Telephone Corporation, which evolved into Securelink Networks in 2025, is a Lenovo Gold Partner that has delivered telecommunications services to the Philippines since 1962. The company gradually transitioned from a traditional telephone and telegraph provider into office broadband and broader IT services.

Since 2019, Securelink has expanded beyond its telecom roots into the fast-paced world of IT services, taking on new opportunities in Metro Manila a dynamic region of 16 cities and more than 13 million people. In a market crowded with systems integrators and infrastructure providers, standing still wasn’t an option. To stay ahead and stand out, Securelink set out to evolve how it operates, delivers and competes.

Having built its reputation as a trusted Lenovo reseller, Securelink leveraged the Lenovo 360 for TruScale go-to-market global channel framework, a channel-focused strategy that helps partners to scale its capabilities and deliver new, outcome-based solutions to its customers. With growing demand for flexible, cost-efficient IT solutions, Securelink recognized that winning business would require transforming its operating model. As part of this shift, the company set its sights on becoming a digital services provider, offering infrastructure, cybersecurity and communications solutions.

To support this transformation, Securelink shifted their business strategy toward an as-a-service (aaS) model driven by Lenovo TruScale Device as a Service (DaaS), that delivers all of the company’s IT needs from a single vendor. This subscription-based approach simplifies procurement, deployment and management with one contract, one point of contact and no need for incremental capital investment – helping Securelink build longer-term client relationships and drive recurring revenue.

Anthony G. Jose, the company’s Vice President and General Manager of Securelink, said: “We were very familiar with the subscription model from our telecoms business, and we knew the huge potential value in terms of revenue generation and stronger long-term client relationships. It seemed like a natural step to develop a portfolio of as-a-service offerings for our IT business.”

A Fresh Approach

The strong foundation between the two companies opened the door for deeper collaboration. As Securelink sought to modernize its business model and expand its IT services portfolio, it identified Lenovo as the right strategic partner to support this evolution.

Securelink chose Lenovo TruScale Device-as-a-Service (DaaS) to power its services-led transformation, supported by the Lenovo 360 for TruScale go-to-market framework. Lenovo 360 is Lenovo’s unified global channel framework designed to enable, connect, and grow partner capabilities across the full portfolio. It allows partners like Securelink to rapidly adapt to market shifts while co-selling integrated solutions. Together, Securelink and Lenovo developed a new service offering under the TruScale model, delivering high-performance Lenovo devices through Securelink’s flexible subscription model.

Jose said: “Lenovo offered excellent support to help us integrate Lenovo TruScale DaaS into our service portfolio. In particular, we worked with the Lenovo team to create sales presentations, detailed terms and conditions, and pricing models. We’re now in a strong position to handle any specific queries from prospective clients on the nuances of the financial side of the service model.”

Rakshit Ghura, Vice President and General Manager, Digital Workplace Solutions at Lenovo said: “We worked closely with Securelink to accelerate their transition to a subscription-based model using Lenovo TruScale DaaS. Through predictable OpEx, streamlined lifecycle management, and simplified procurement via a single point of contact, Securelink is now equipped to offer clients a scalable, cost-efficient way to manage their IT environments. Their success highlights how Lenovo TruScale DaaS helps partners unlock recurring revenue while delivering greater value to customers.”

Proving the Value of Lenovo TruScale DaaS

The launch of Lenovo TruScale DaaS quickly demonstrated its value. Securelink secured its first major win under the new model, supplying more than 900 Lenovo laptops to a leading national retailer. This landmark deal marked the first TruScale DaaS agreement in the Philippine SMB market and signaled strong market interest in subscription-based IT consumption. It also demonstrated how the Lenovo 360 framework can help partners convert market demand into tangible transactions.

Jose said: “The Lenovo 360 for TruScale framework gives us a compelling proposition. It isn’t just the cashflow benefits that appeal to clients. For CIOs, TruScale DaaS makes it easier to align payments with budgets – and to secure approval from their finance teams to deploy new devices.”

Beyond device delivery, Securelink is also seeing tangible improvements in client engagement. The shift to an OpEx model has opened the door to longer-term agreements, deeper account development and cross-selling opportunities across its broader IT services portfolio.

Early feedback from prospective customers has been overwhelmingly positive, reinforcing the value of Lenovo TruScale’s unified, end-to-end lifecycle approach and a core differentiator in the market.

Looking ahead, Securelink is confident that Lenovo TruScale DaaS will become a major growth driver. The company expects to achieve significant financial benefits from recurring revenue streams, with each new agreement offering higher lifetime value compared to traditional sales.

As demand for flexible, outcome-based IT solutions continues to rise, Lenovo’s as-a-service capabilities will remain a key enabler in Securelink’s strategy to scale and diversify its offerings. With plans to broaden its reach and strengthen its portfolio, Securelink aims to deliver a world-class customer experience by integrating TruScale DaaS with its growing managed services, security and network solutions, supported by the Lenovo 360 framework.
