APRIL 30, 2008: With the best record in the NBA during the 2007-08 regular season, the Boston Celtics featured the most effective five-man player combination in the league and are well positioned to win their first championship in 22 years, according to the Lenovo Stat on NBA.com.

The Lenovo Stat, a plus/minus statistic that demonstrates the power of teamwork by analyzing the most effective combinations of players on each team, revealed the five-man lineup of Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen, Paul Pierce, Kendrick Perkins and Rajon Rondo to be the most powerful on the court with a Lenovo Stat ranking of +396.

The New Orleans Hornets followed with the NBA?s second best Lenovo Stat combination, which included Peja Stojakovic, Morris Peterson, Tyson Chandler, David West and Chris Paul (+256).  The Detroit Pistons finished third with Antonio McDyess, Rasheed Wallace, Chauncey Billups, Richard Hamilton and Tayshaun Prince accumulating a Lenovo Stat ranking of +240.  Notably, the Los Angeles Lakers who entered the NBA Playoffs as the number one seed in the Western Conference finished with three different Lenovo Stat player combinations in the top 10.
