Lenovo Names Francois Bornibus New President EMEA

Tuesday 14th March, 2017 – Lenovo (HK:992) (ADR:LNVGY) today announced the promotion of Francois Bornibus to President EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) effective 1st April 2017. Bornibus, currently VP and Chief Operating Officer Lenovo EMEA, will report to Luca Rossi who will continue to hold the overarching responsibility for both EMEA and Latin America markets.

Lenovo appoints Torod Neptune as VP Global Communications

NORTH CAROLINA, March 8th, 2017 – Torod Neptune is to join Lenovo as Vice President Global Communications, starting 27th March.  Torod is currently Vice President of Corporate Communications for Verizon Communications and succeeds Jeff Shafer who moved to lead communications at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro at the end of 2016.  Torod will report to Lenovo Chief Marketing Officer David Roman.

LENOVO’S THIRD QUARTER FY 2016/17 RESULTS LED BY GROWTH IN PC BUSINESS

  • Revenue was US$12.2 billion
  • Pre-tax income was US$101 million
  • Net income was US$98 million
  • Lenovo’s PC business outperformed the industry with revenue growth at two percent year-over-year
  • Record PC market share of 22.4 percent worldwide
  • Basic EPS of 0.90 US cents or 6.98 HK cents
 
HONG KONG, February 16, 2017 – Lenovo Group (HKSE: 992) (ADR: LNVGY) today announced results for its third fiscal quarter ended December 31, 2016. Quarterly revenue was US$12.2 billion, a six percent decrease year-over-year. Third quarter pre-tax income was US$101 million, a 68 percent decline year-over-year. Net income fell 67 percent year-over-year to US$98 million.
