Lenovo Enhanced Experience 2.0 for Windows 7 will come on a wide range of Think and Idea-branded PCs beginning in Q1 2011.

On select Lenovo EE 2.0 PCs with optional RapidDrive SSD technology, users can start their PCs in less than 10 seconds,1 and open applications two times faster.3 Lenovo PCs with boot times under 10 seconds include the new IdeaPad Y570 and Y470 laptops.
Idea-branded PCs with Enhanced Experience 2.0 are optimized for consumers for multimedia with Enhanced Digital Audio and HD graphics.

“Since the launch of Enhanced Experience, the feedback worldwide has been straightforward – ‘we want more!’” said Dion Weisler, vice president, business operations, Lenovo. “We believe the Enhanced Experience 2.0 for Windows 7 will offer even greater value for business users who value how the performance advantages of ‘EE’ can be deployed across their entire fleet, and consumers who just love the fact that their PC can start-up faster.”
“Lenovo’s Enhanced Experience 2.0 program extends Windows 7 performance even further,” said Steve Guggenheimer, Corporate Vice President of the OEM Division at Microsoft Corporation. “This program exemplifies how the collaboration between Microsoft and our hardware partners leads to improved experiences for our joint customers.”

RapidDrive SSD technology offers two times faster application performance3 and even faster Windows 7 performance, including boot up times in less than 10 seconds on select Idea PCs.4
Lenovo Idea-branded PCs with Enhanced Experience 2.0 feature optimized multimedia with Enhanced Digital Audio and HD graphics as standard. Enhanced Digital Audio includes a range of audio features such as Dolby® or SRS® audio, JBL® speakers, enlarged speaker chambers, surround-sound output and vibration-reducing speaker designs.4

Security tools4 include a fingerprint reader that can be used to power-on the PC, optional self-encrypting hard drives, BIOS port lock settings and Hardware Password Manager for deploying security features across a fleet of PCs. Meanwhile, features such as high-definition webcams with advanced white-balancing settings, digital array microphones with a speakerphone mode, and keystroke noise suppression technology that automatically detects when a user types during video chats and suppresses the noise of keystrokes, deliver a rich Web conferencing experience4.
