Streamlining AI Development

AI is one of the biggest technological evolutions of our era, entering every industry as a transformative force that will enhance the efficiency of everyone; enabling faster and more valuable business outcomes – all fueled by a company’s data. AI, including machine and deep learning plus generative AI with large language models (LLMs), requires immense compute power to build and maintain the intelligence needed to create and deliver new and unparalleled customer AI experiences.

AI practitioners need flexible, high-performance computing to develop, test, and refine AI models. Lenovo Workstations, optimized with NVIDIA RTX PROGPUs, provide a dedicated AI environment for data scientists, engineers, and innovators.

Beyond building a cutting-edge full-stack portfolio of hardware, Lenovo is also working with NVIDIA to support and deliver the acceleration of developing and deploying AI. Lenovo AI Development Solution is a set of mobile and desktop workstation reference architectures certified with NVIDIA AI Workbench to help customers move from proof of concept to production faster and more effectively than ever before.

Customers are looking for a more seamless way to customize workstations so they can create and deploy an AI stack on a workstation that keeps itself up to date—they want to focus on AI development not data management. And they are looking for a scalable AI development platform that spans from laptop to data center with a hybrid AI solution to secure data away from the cloud as well as manage costs.

Lenovo workstations, such as the ThinkPad P16 and the ThinkStation PX, are pivotal elements in enabling AI development at scale. When combined with NVIDIA AI Workbench, users have a secure and scalable AI development environment that blends performance and a lower total cost of ownership with a more secure and private environment. As part of the Hybrid AI Advantage with NVIDIA, the democratization of AI becomes less complex.

Flexible Remote Experience for AI Development

At NVIDIA GTC, Lenovo showcased its Remote Workspace Experience for AI Development, featuring seven ThinkStation P3 Ultra workstations with NVIDIA RTX 4000 Ada SFF Generation GPUs NVIDIA RTX 4000 Ada SFF Generation GPUs in a high-density enclosure. This solution offers:

  • High-performance AI compute for remote AI development.
  • Scalability for growing AI workloads, supporting up to seven simultaneous users.
  • Seamless integration into broader AI strategies.

For organizations looking to scale, Lenovo offers a clear path from ThinkStation and ThinkPad workstations to enterprise AI infrastructure. As AI projects evolve, workloads can transition to Lenovo Hybrid AI Factories, which combine ThinkSystem servers, NVIDIA AI Enterprise software , and advanced networking to enable full-scale AI training, inferencing, and deployment.

Lenovo AI in Action

At GTC, Lenovo debuted a demo of the new Lenovo AI Knowledge Assistant running on a Lenovo PX ThinkStation. Powered by the new Lenovo agentic AI platform, and leveraging the NVIDIA Digital Human Blueprint. the demo enabled attendees to use natural voice and language to interact with the Lenovo AI Knowledge Assistant about relevant event details, maps, schedules and meeting locations. The Lenovo agentic AI platform includes proven software toolkits, advanced data tools, pre-trained models, automated deployment features and is fully integrated with NVIDIA Blueprints, which cuts complexity for customers as they scale agentic AI across personal, enterprise and public environments. Lenovo’s AI services help organizations define and prove the value of AI, while agentic AI experts smooth the deployment and adoption of AI agents. This includes a security-first, people-centric Responsible AI framework to enhance trust and a GenAIOps dashboard that centralizes AI management and monitoring of drift, bias, and performance.

Using AI to Analyze the Cognitive Performance in Simulated Racing

Also, during GTC, Lenovo demonstrated AI-driven brain-computer interfacing (BCI) with OpenBCI’s Galea, powered by the NVIDIA-Certified  ThinkStation P7with dual NVIDIA RTX 6000 Ada Generation GPUs. The solution used NVIDIA cuDNN  to process real-time biometric data from drivers in an immersive F1 racing simulator to unlock new insights into human cognitive responses.

The experience demonstrates that by bridging AI development, enterprise scalability, and expert services, Lenovo Workstations empower organizations to experiment, optimize, and seamlessly scale AI workloads with industry-leading performance and flexibility.

Lenovo Workstations Power Cutting-Edge AI and VR Solutions with NVIDIA RTX PRO Blackwell GPUs

In the NVIDIA GTC XR Pavilion, Lenovo showcased state-of-the-art immersive experiences for Augmented Engineering Workflows using the latest NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Workstation Edition GPUs.

The first demonstration includes an automotive design experience running on NVIDIA CloudXR  and streaming to a wireless VR head mounted display (HMD) with ray tracing and full global illumination. Users are able to make real-time alterations to the design as it is instantly updated in the VR HMD, showcasing how immersive technologies can be seamlessly integrated into the complex design and visual review processes.

The second demo, an evolution of the first, offers a multi-user, collaborative design review experience using NVIDIA Omniverse and Innoactive streaming to multiple mixed reality VR HMDs.

ThinkStation PX

A third experience powered by the NVIDIA-Certified ThinkStation PX running 4x NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Max-Q Workstation Edition GPUs delivered a combination of advanced XR streaming, fused with Generative AI, and an on-device large language model (LLM) so users can interact with their design model using their voice and natural language processing (NLP). This fully functional technology proof of concept showcases the true art of what is possible when Generative AI is infused in more traditional 3D design and engineering workflows, fueling greater levels of efficiency and reducing the barriers to advanced visualization and professional design reviews.

Full-stack Hybrid AI Portfolio

For organizations looking to scale, Lenovo’s Hybrid AI Advantage with NVIDIA offers a clear path from workstations to enterprise AI infrastructure designed to take full advantage of NVIDIA’s latest RTX PRO Blackwell GPUs supporting up to 96 GB each. As AI projects evolve, workloads can transition to Lenovo Hybrid AI Factories, which combine ThinkSystem servers, NVIDIA AI Enterprise software platform, and advanced networking to enable full-scale AI training, inferencing, and deployment.

To support this journey, Lenovo AI Services provides AI consulting and deployment support to accelerate adoption, Lenovo AI FastStart for NVIDIA which includes NVIDIA AI Enterprise and NVIDIA NIM microservices, pre-configured for seamless AI implementation, and TruScale as-a-Service, offering scalable, pay-as-you-go AI infrastructure.
