Steven Long Appointed as New Commercial Segment Senior Vice President for Intelligent Devices Group at Lenovo

January 10, 2024 – Lenovo today announced the appointment of Steven Long as the new Senior Vice President of the Intelligent Devices Group (IDG) commercial segment, effective February 26, 2024. Long’s arrival comes at a critical point in Lenovo’s transformation journey, bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to the role. He steps into the role previously held by Marco Andresen, who will continue his leadership position as Chief Operating Officer for Lenovo’s IDG.

Steve LongIn his new role at Lenovo, Long will oversee IDG’s end-to-end commercial business, including strategy and profit and loss responsibilities. He will spearhead the commercial segment’s holistic operations, such as day-to-day management, listening to and incorporating the voice of the customer, and ensuring commercial customer feedback and user insights are central to business strategies and decisions while aligning with broader overall objectives. His team will collaborate across global markets to define product strategies and roadmaps. Additionally, under his leadership Lenovo will further propel growth in areas like OEM, education, smart collaboration, and cybersecurity. Long will be part of the IDG Senior Leadership Team, reporting directly to the Lenovo IDG President, Luca Rossi, and will relocate from Singapore to Raleigh, North Carolina.

Long’s career spans nearly 24 years at Intel, where he has held numerous leadership roles. He was instrumental in steering Intel’s business across the Asia Pacific and Japan region, significantly contributing to new revenue streams and business growth. Long’s experience includes leading global sales for Intel’s largest business unit, the Client Compute Group, and holding pivotal roles in the Latin America region and the Americas Sales team for Global Accounts.
