London, UK – January 23, 2024 – Today Lenovo announced at Bett UK new solutions to expand its growing portfolio of hardware, software, and services built for teachers and students. Lenovo’s expanding education portfolio is purpose-driven to empower teachers and students by understanding educators’ challenges and delivering education solutions that meet their needs. The new solutions included the Lenovo 100e Chromebook Gen 4, and new services and software for more personalized, secure, and inspired learning.

Hardened Student Hardware

The Lenovo 100e Chromebook Gen 4 is fast and built with enhanced security to empower students for uptime, any time. It features an efficient and user-friendly mobile computing experience powered by the Intel® Processor N-Series. The ChromeOS platform equips students with the tools they need in the classroom and beyond. Weighing less than one and a half kilograms and boasting up to 12 hours of battery life1, this 11.6” clamshell design with optional touchscreen enables schoolwork, collaboration, and exploration— whatever the day brings.

Lenovo 100e Chromebook

Lenovo education DuraSpec and MIL-SPEC 810H testing means the Lenovo 100e Chromebook Gen 4 is built for the bumps, falls, and spills that occur in the daily lives of young learners.2 The new and easily serviceable top-load keyboard with anti-pry full-skirt keycaps, can withstand accidental spills up to 360ml.3 In addition, reinforced ports and hinges, plus rubber bumpers, means this resilient device is ready to take on learning anywhere.

The Lenovo 100e Chromebook Gen 4 is also well protected on the inside. Additional protection can be added to Lenovo education devices with the ThinkShield portfolio of security solutions (sold separately), which include Absolute® to track, assess and manage devices, and SentinelOne® which offers AI-powered endpoint security through real-time prevention, detection and response against known and new malware strains. In addition, ChromeOS security provides sandboxing, safe browsing, and the Google-designed Titan C security chip, along with regular automatic security updates that happen in the background.

And now customers have more support options that can be added to Lenovo education hardware (sold separately). New solutions specifically tailored for education customers are designed to minimize learning downtime, free IT resources, and provide peace of mind that devices are protected.

UV Printing and Laser Etching – PC fleet customization and protection from the factory with distinctive, crisp laser etching or high-quality, color UV printing.

Lenovo is supporting schools on their digital transformation journey with strategic planning, professional development, teaching and learning resources, as well as new technology solutions.

With Lenovo Chrome Education bundles customers can now access more software solutions with Lenovo hardware. Lenovo education bundles include the Chrome Education Upgrade to empower schools to create thriving educational environments for students, teachers, and staff with advanced management, security, and support capabilities. The LanSchool Classroom Management bundle offers software for device management, monitoring and protection, communication, and screen sharing; and the NetFilter cloud-based solution offers AI-driven internet filtering, protection, and keystroke alerts.
