RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC AND HARRISBURG, PA – Aug. 14, 2007 – Lenovo and D&H Distributing today announced an expanded relationship to offer a variety of notebooks in the ThinkPad line of notebook PCs. Lenovo and D&H first partnered in August 2006 to offer the Lenovo 3000 line of notebook and desktops to target the SMB space. D&H is now selling the ThinkPad brand of notebooks, recognized for their longstanding reputation for quality, innovation and design.

The expansion of D&H’s Lenovo offerings corresponds with the first anniversary of Lenovo and D&H’s initial partnership agreement. Within that one-year period, D&H has begun to generate well over $1 million in Lenovo sales per month to new customers, surpassing the original expectations of both partners. In the process, D&H is proud to have introduced more than 1,000 unique resellers to PCs in the Lenovo 3000 line.

One such reseller is Lee Matott, president of Matott Enterprises, Inc., a small computer retail store in the northern NY area. In recent months, Matott became concerned about the affect that competition from super-size retailers and online sources would have on his notebook business, especially since his reputation depended on providing quality merchandise, not bottom-line pricing.

“Our D&H rep recommended Lenovo for providing high-quality notebooks at accessible pricepoints,” said Matott. “We’ve had such outstanding sales on the Lenovo models so far, we’re considering using them as our exclusive notebook offering. It’s a great benefit to be able to provide such a successful brand from a trusted distribution partner.”

“Our relationship with D&H Distributing has helped us effectively reach a large number of VARs and end users in the SMB space, a transactional market that we are aggressively pursuing,” said Stephen Mungall, vice president, Americas Channels, Lenovo. “Expanding the portfolio of offerings with the ThinkPad brand of Top Seller products gives customers even more choice and another opportunity to do business with Lenovo.”

Over the past year Lenovo has intensified its efforts on growing business in the SMB area, and its relationship with the distributor has been an important component. Lenovo implemented its formal partner program, the Lenovo Partner Network, in 2006 and established new tools and training to help VARs grow their business with Lenovo. Lenovo has added a significant number of new partners worldwide from July 2006 to March 2007 and is now focused on expanding its channel program, helping partners be successful.

“D&H Distributing has a long, impressive history of supporting SMB VARs, understanding their unique requirements and partnering with them to be successful,” said Dan Schwab, vice president of marketing at D&H Distributing. “Expanding our relationship with Lenovo recognizes the technology company’s diverse portfolio of leading technology solutions and provides an ever greater selection for our resellers looking to meet their customers’ individual needs.”

In addition to providing a broad portfolio of PC products, D&H invests in tools like educational seminars and marketing materials to help resellers grow their businesses. These efforts in turn help provide solid results for D&H and Lenovo. D&H’s latest Lenovo training opportunity is the “Increase Your Revenue with Lenovo Products and Programs” seminar, which Lenovo personnel will conduct at D&H Distributing’s 2007 New England Technology Show, at the Quincy Marriott Hotel (Boston area) on August 14.
