RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC – March 3, 2011: Lenovo (HKSE: 992) (ADR: LNVGY) today announced the ThinkCentre M91p desktop designed to give large businesses the highest levels of performance, security and manageability. Available in tower, small form factor and eco small form factor versions, the desktop is designed for speed and performance with technologies including SATA III, USB 3.0, Lenovo Enhanced Experience 2.0 and support for four monitors as well as security and manageability with the latest Intel® Core vPro processors.
“We’ve packed the new ThinkCentre M91p desktop with the latest performance technologies, like Intel® Turbo Boost Technology 2.0, to give users and IT departments a noticeable difference in the way they work,” said Tom Shell, vice president, ThinkCentre Desktop Marketing, Lenovo. “Now PC users can quickly open and save data, view graphics and video faster and stream work across four monitors.”
Do More, Faster
The ThinkCentre M91p is Lenovo’s fastest ThinkCentre desktop yet. It speeds up multi-tasking thanks to a variety of new performance technologies including Intel® Core™ i5 and i7 processors with integrated Intel® HD graphics. The desktop allows for ultimate expandability with four DIMM slots that deliver up to 16 GB of high speed DDR3 memory on select models1. Additionally, SATA III technology reads and writes data two times faster than previous versions, while USB 3.0 transfers data between devices up to 10 times faster than USB 2.0. For users who rely on multiple screens to work with data or graphics, select models can support up to four independent displays via a discrete graphics card.
The desktop packs in extra features for even more robust performance with eight USB ports for connecting external devices and high definition audio for voice and video conferencing. Additionally, select models2 offer an optional second hard drive, two PCI slots and an eSATA port. Users can jump online and quickly browse digital content with Gigabit Ethernet. Additionally, the desktops include several of Lenovo’s ThinkVantage Technologies – Rescue and Recovery, System Update and Power Manager – to help with common PC tasks such as backing up and recovering data, updating the PC and saving energy.

Start Up, Shut Down Faster With Enhanced Experience 2.0
Users can start their Lenovo PC on average 20 seconds faster than a typical Windows 7 computer3 thanks to Lenovo’s RapidBoot  technology featured on all Enhanced Experience 2.0 PCs. RapidBoot technology uses a range of proprietary optimization techniques to deliver even faster start-up and 28 percent faster shutdown speeds.Customers can identify Lenovo Enhanced Experience 2.0 PCs through a special Lenovo Enhanced Experience 2.0 for Windows 7 certification sticker affixed to them.
Secure and Manageable
The ThinkCentre M91p desktop provides the highest levels of manageability for IT staff responsible for managing large fleets of PCs. With the latest Intel vPro technology, security technologies are designed into PC hardware instead of the software, making the PC less vulnerable to security threats. The desktop includes a variety of security features such as USB port disablement for physically managing data going in and out of a PC. Lenovo includes Hardware Password Manager standard for simple management of encrypted hard drives. Additionally, the ThinkCentre M91p desktop includes a Trusted Platform Module (9TPM), a secure cryptoprocessor chip that manages encryption keys and processes.
Pricing and Availability4
The ThinkCentre M91p desktop will be available through business partners and www.lenovo.com beginning in April. Models start at approximately $899.

These were compared with comparable Lenovo products. Data from competitors and Lenovo PCs were averaged and compared to calculate the claims used.
