Research Triangle Park, N.C., August 7, 2006 – Lenovo Group Ltd. today announced the appointment of Kenneth DiPietro as senior vice president, Human Resources. He reports directly to William Amelio, CEO, and is responsible for the company’s human resources policies and programs, and organizational development.
DiPietro, 47, was most recently vice president, Human Resources at Microsoft, where he was responsible for planning, compensation, staffing, training and executive development.
Prior to Microsoft, DiPietro was vice president of human resources for the Americas, at Dell, where he helped align the company’s human resources organization with its business goals.
DiPietro came to Dell from PepsiCo, where as senior vice president, Human Resources, he was responsible for international compensation and benefits, staffing, and education and development, for an organization that spanned more than 160 countries across 10 business units.
“Ken has a proven track record in human resources, both internationally and in the IT field,” said Amelio. “I look forward to working with Ken as he helps Lenovo to further build our worldwide employee community.”
DiPietro holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University.
