RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC – October 25, 2007 – Lenovo today announced the appointment of Liu Jun as senior vice president and president, Consumer Business Group. He reports directly to William Amelio and is responsible for the company’s worldwide consumer business.

Liu, 38, was most recently in an executive leadership program and completed two advanced study programs at Harvard University and Stanford University. Prior to that, Liu was most recently senior vice president, leading Lenovo’s Global Supply Chain organization, and before that, senior vice president and chief operating officer of the company.

During his 14 years at Lenovo, Liu has held several senior management positions in research and development, product marketing, and corporate strategy.

“Jun has held a number of leadership positions at Lenovo and brings a unique vantage point as we roll out our consumer business worldwide,” Amelio said. “Jun is a proven talent in Lenovo, and I look forward to working with him in his new role.”

Liu holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Automation and an executive MBA, both from Tsinghua University in China.
