Lenovo Wins Prestigious “Design Oscar” with an iF Design Gold Award

ThinkVision LT2934z cinematic display and sleek lines leads as Lenovo wins a further seven iF Design Awards

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC– March 3, 2014: Lenovo (HKSE: 992) (ADR: LNVGY) today announced a record eight design awards from the 2014 International Forum (iF), including a Gold Product Design Award for the ThinkVision LT2934z monitor. Other award winners in the product design category include Lenovo’s new ThinkPad X1 Carbon laptop, ThinkPad 8 tablet and YOGA TABLET 8, ThinkCentre E93z all-in-one PC, the Lenovo K900 smartphone and the Horizon table PC. For the first time, Lenovo also won a Communication Design Award for its Aura software interface from the Horizon product. In its 61st year, the iF received more than 4,600 product entries from around the globe, and the top award winners are bestowed with a Gold Award, known as the “Design Oscar.”

This year’s internationally acclaimed panel of forty nine judges commended Lenovo on its pioneering product design and innovation vision. The jury panel said of the ThinkVision LT2934z, “we chose this monitor design particularly because of the successful use of a landscape aspect, creating one dramatic single screen”. The panel also highlighted the device’s Think design language and individuality.
Featuring a 29 inch AH-IPS LED backlit panel offering 33 per cent more viewing area than a traditional 16:9 screen, the ThinkVision LT2934z delivers a true cinematic experience. It also includes a Full HD webcam, dual array microphone and speakers for exceptional video calls and Picture-in-Picture capability enables a continuous multi-tasking workflow
