HONG KONG, December 5, 2019 – Lenovo has been honoured with two Platinum Awards in the annual Best Corporate Governance Awards by the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (“HKICPA”) – the first for Corporate Governance and the second for Sustainability and Social Responsibility Reporting.
This is the seventh consecutive year that Lenovo has been presented with the Corporate Governance award and the second consecutive year receiving the Sustainability and Social Responsibility reporting award, highlighting once again the company’s outstanding efforts and commitment in corporate governance and in ESG (environmental, social and governance) reporting.
Over the past two decades, the prestigious Best Corporate Governance Awards have become a recognized and respected yardstick of corporate governance standards and, more recently also, of sustainability and social responsibility reporting standards, in both the private and public sectors in Hong Kong. The awards look beyond the minimum legal and regulatory requirements to identify best practices that set a high bar. The Awards promote a culture of good corporate governance and sustainable business practices, a priority that aligns well with Lenovo’s continuous efforts in this area.
