Lenovo Chairman and CEO Yang Yuanqing (above) was awarded the prestigious Edison Achievement Award, which honors distinguished business executives who have made a significant and lasting contribution to innovation throughout their careers, at a ceremony in San Francisco April 30, 2014. This marked the first time ever that an honoree based outside North America was selected for Edison Awards honors. Also receiving an Edison Achievement Award was Elon Musk, CEO and Product Architect of Tesla Motors and CEO/CTO of Space ExplorationTechnologies (SpaceX). Lenovo also received a gold award in the computers category for its Yoga tablet, and a silver award in the industrial design category for its IdeaCentre Horizon Table PC.
