The number of elderly people living alone is exploding globally, and the demand for services for the seniors is gradually changing. Which raises the question: what role does the internet and big data play in intelligent senior care?
Smart senior care is essentially a platform that uses the Internet of Things (IoT) technology to maintain the living conditions of the elderly and uses data information to greatly expand the scope of demand response, providing real-time, fast, efficient, IoT-based, and intelligent elderly care services.
This will be the inevitable trend of smart retirement. As a leader in intelligent transformation, Lenovo is empowering all industries with high technology on the basis of its own successful intelligent transformation, to fully realize the vision of “Smart Technology for All”. The field of smart senior care is no exception.
Not long ago, Lenovo Connect and Roxelane, a Dutch famous technology company that provides clients with cutting-edge digital experience, jointly created a smart photo frame product, Memory Lane. Memory Lane is designed to provide better family interactive services for seniors, to remind them of good family moments, and provide services like daily communication links between their family and caretakers, entertainment, agenda reminders and so on. It allows seniors to be healthier on a personal level.
This product uses the Lenovo tablet as a software deployment platform and uses the Lenovo ThinkUEM mobile terminal management platform for device management, content management, and application management, which ensures operating system security and user data security. ThinkUEM is an enterprise mobile endpoint management platform developed exclusively by Lenovo. It provides cross-system and cross-industry device lifecycle management.
For different industries, such as education, finance, retail, logistics and other application scenarios, based on the ThinkUEM platform, industry solutions can be flexibly customized. Through flat management, intermediate links are reduced, instructions are instantly transmitted, and results are uploaded and displayed directly, effectively improving device supervision efficiency.
“Memory Lane is a zero-operation smart terminal designed for the seniors.” Said Rudolf, project leader of Roxelane. “Lenovo ThinkUEM connects software and hardware, and manages the senior’s smart photo frame, the family-side APP, and the server-side back-end collectively. It guarantees the smooth construction, debugging and secure data operation of the product, brings the entire family together, and lets the care reach the seniors directly.”

Currently, Lenovo Connect has successfully delivered the first PO to the Dutch company, Roxelane. Roxelane purchased the Lenovo Tab5 and partnered with ThinkUEM to develop the senior Care. The ThinkUEM team provides the Kiosk Mode, batch application deployment and upgrade, and remote control and other features in the MDM solution.
“We are delighted to cooperate with Roxelane to provide a wider range of products for smart senior care.” said Dr. Martin Wong, from Lenovo Connect. “In the future, we will also introduce AI technology to further improve mobile device security and provide data analysis, and ThinkUEM will be the core of the smart IoT platform. ”

In addition, Lenovo Connect ThinkUEM unified terminal management platform has successfully passed Google EMM service certification in September this year. Lenovo Connect was included in the Google Android Enterprise Solutions Directory, officially become Google ’s certified EMM service provider, and officially became Zebra ’s global EMM partner in the same month.
Lenovo Connect is continuously exploring markets in North America, Europe, Southeast Asia and other regions in an effort to create a new world of Internet of Intelligences.
